Fornax 200
The Fornax 200 mount has been specifically designed and developed for BlackGem project and the HAT Project (Hungarian Automated Telescope Project). The Fornax 200 is a heavy duty German Equatorial mount for precise positioning and tracking extremely large telescopes up to about 150 – 200kg.
-No meridian flip / Recta and declination axeses can rotate 360 degrees
-Recta and declination axises built into one housing. The mount is very robust!
-Integrated controller hardver
-Integrated Renishaw 32 bit absolute encoders
-Telescopes also can be installed to the counterweight shaft, instedd off counterweights. In this case you can install even 4 telescopes!
-After switched on the mount you can start to use it instantly. You don’t need any reference stars.
-Closed loop control at the rekta axis (+-0,2 arcsec or less!)
